Elk in the Pasture

Mom and Harvey were driving up to their driveway when Harvey noticed Elk in the Pasture. Mom jumped out of the van and told Harvey not to slam the door. She retrieved her camera from inside of the house, and walked slowly onto the patio. I think this picture is a little out of focus, because she was so excited. (It could also be that it was an over cast day. I've found that on gray days, the autofocus doesn't work as well as it does on a bright sunny day.) It shows just how many were in the pasture.

The cow feeding her calf was too far away. She did get one to look at her.

I do miss seeing things like this. It's not unusual to see Elk in a pasture has you drive down highway 101, in Washington.

New Pictures of the Kids

How fast they grow.

George was trying to chase a chicken

Mom has been trying to teach them to walk on a lead. (Dean is planning to show them at the fair.) She says Little Jo refuses to walk. As soon as Mom tries to lead her, she just lies down on the ground. George on the other hand, has no problems.

The Kids Weigh 25 Pounds

Mom says the kids are like puppies. They like to jump up on her. At least George does. Little Joan has been staying away from Mom, since she got her shots. She's not very forgiving.

As you can see this isn't Lady's best side
